56mm Skateboard Wheels

56mm wheels entered the conversation when skaters realized that speed and momentum could solve problems that technical precision couldn't, becoming essential for transition skating and urban missions that involve actual distance rather than just trick-to-trick navigation. These wheels maintain velocity through multiple pushes and roll over the kind of street obstacles that would stop smaller wheels dead, making them perfect for skaters who view the city as their personal skatepark. Transition legends like Omar Hassan and Greco popularized larger wheels for their ability to generate and maintain the speed necessary for proper vert and pool skating. Available in various durometers to match your terrain preferences, from rock-hard compounds for concrete parks to softer formulas that absorb the punishment of genuinely rough streets.
