Hoddle Skateboards & Clothing
Founded in 2016 in Naarm, Melbourne by Keegan Walker and Dale Van Lersel, Hoddle Skateboards takes its name from Robert Hoddle, who laid out Melbourne's distinctive grid system. The brand emerged with a clear vision: combine authentic street skating with artistic collaboration, creating something uniquely Melbourne while maintaining connections to the global skate community.
When co-founder Keegan Walker passed away in 2019, Hoddle continued as a tribute to his vision and values. The brand maintains his core principles through collaborations with artists, filmers, and musicians, presenting artwork with a bold, punk-influenced aesthetic. This approach has produced videos like Lost in the Grid, Heavy Mayo, and Stan Ray, while leading to events including a major activation at the NGV's MPavilion in 2022.
Beyond products, Hoddle uses its platform to support important causes, raising funds for Australian Indigenous cultures through Pay the Rent initiatives and supporting Black Lives Matter through collaborative projects. The current team includes Shaun Paul, Jack Kirk, Digby Luxton, Simon Zuzic, Raphael Langslow, Dean Johnston, Caeylen Norris, Jimmy Roche, Noah Smith, and Reef Condon.
