Sour Solution emerged in 2013 when Björn Holmenäs, Erik J Petersson, Daniel Spängs, and Kristofer 'Koffe' Hallgren left Sweet Skateboards to create their own path. The Swedish crew wanted a company focused on skating rather than business priorities, establishing Sour with a clear vision for creative freedom and authentic skateboarding culture.

The brand announced itself to the world with ""The Sour Solution"" in 2015, a full-length video filmed by Jonathan Lomar that immediately set them apart through unique spot selection and creative approaches to skating. Gustav Tønnesen took over filming duties in 2016, bringing his multi-talented perspective both behind and in front of the camera. Sour's output balances serious skateboarding with humor and artistic experimentation, creating videos that feel distinctly Scandinavian in their aesthetic.
