Hemley Skateboarding was founded in 2004 by Felix Hemley and James Pemberton, lifelong skaters from Fitzroy who were inspired by their local skate culture.

Originally based on Queens Parade in Clifton Hill, the store was dedicated to serving the local skate community with skateboards and related gear.

In early 2007, recognizing opportunities for expansion, Felix and Jimmy moved the shop to Brunswick St, Fitzroy, where Hemley Skateboarding continues to thrive today.
