Anti Hero Skateboards
Anti-Hero Skateboards & Apparel
Anti-Hero Skateboards emerged from San Francisco's gritty streets in 1995, founded by Julien Stranger with support from Jim Thiebaud, who offered Stranger the opportunity to start the brand under Deluxe Distribution. With their iconic eagle logo and unfiltered approach, Anti-Hero quickly established itself as skateboarding's most uncompromising voice.
The brand built its reputation through an unprecedented team of raw, hard-charging skaters with John Cardiel serving as a key figure alongside Julien Stranger and Frank Gerwer, riders who embodied Anti-Hero's commitment to skateboarding as genuine self-expression rather than gymnastic performance. Through influential videos and their ongoing series of regional edits, Anti-Hero maintains skateboarding's connection to its rebellious, adventure-seeking roots.
The Anti-Hero collection features their distinctive graphics across decks, apparel, and accessories, products that continue rejecting skateboarding's commercial polish in favor of authentic representation. Despite decades in the industry, they remain defiantly committed to Stranger's original vision of skateboarding as a refuge for misfits and malcontents seeking escape from society's suffocating conventions.
